Swooning in the Sunshine
We have been indoors most of the weekend and what with the wonderful sunny day here in London this afternoon we went for a stroll around the neighbourhood with our camera in tow to catch up on any new works that might have gone up over the weekend. We were super excited to stumble upon this stunning life-size wheat-paste from New York based artist Swoon. We have been seeing some of her work going up around Europe recently but had no idea she would be passing through London.
We are huge fans of the artists beautiful life-sized woodblock wheat-pasted posters which often feature hand painted elements as seen in this new London piece, which made our Monday a whole lot brighter. As with some of her previous visits to London (covered here) we can hopefully expect to see more from Swoon here in London, in the meantime check out some of the detail shots below of this new piece.
UPDATE 2016: After running for nearly two years untouched, this beautiful Swoon piece was recently tagged over, the upper section of the work is still visible.
