Alexis Díaz finishes his stunning London Mural

Alexis Diaz — detail

Earlier this week we featured some progress shots of  Puerto Rican muralist and artist Alexis Díaz at work on a stunning new mural on Hanbury Street in East London (covered here). Díaz is one-half of  art collective La Pandilla along with fellow artist Juan Fernández, whose work we became familiar with back in 2011 with the launch of Maximiliano Ruiz's book Nuevo Mundo: Latin American Street Artwhich featured the work of this collective.

After a crazy weeks worth of work, Díaz has finally completed his cross hatched Elephant mural mashed up with an Octopus . Check out our pictures of the finished piece below.

We walked around East London at the weekend (27/28 July 2013) and
were amazed at the volume and quality of the street art at the moment.
It's really quite incredible. From Old Street, Hoxton, Shoreditch and
obviously around Brick Lane, some really inspirational paintings. I took
some photos for my site but am now humbled by the quality of yours!
Well done!
