Alexis Diaz finishes his stunning London Mural

Alexis Diaz — detail

Earlier this week we featured some progress shots of  Puerto Rican muralist and artist Alexis Díaz (Previously on Hookedblog) at work on a stunning new mural on Hanbury Street in East London (covered here). Díaz is one-half of  art collective La Pandilla along with fellow artist Juan Fernández, whose work we became familiar with back in 2011 with the launch of Maximiliano Ruiz's book Nuevo Mundo: Latin American Street Art which featured the work of this collective.

After a crazy weeks worth of work, Diaz has finally completed his cross hatched street art Elephant mural mashed up with an Octopus. You can check out our pictures of the finished creature below.

We walked around East London at the weekend (27/28 July 2013) and
were amazed at the volume and quality of the street art at the moment.
It's really quite incredible. From Old Street, Hoxton, Shoreditch and
obviously around Brick Lane, some really inspirational paintings. I took
some photos for my site but am now humbled by the quality of yours!
Well done!
