Banksy's FREE UK Election Souvenir Print Release
Yep, you read the headline right, UK street artist Banksy (Previously on Hookedblog) is giving away the above-pictured print absolutely free.

Following his recent Dover stencil work, the elusive artist has just updated his Banksy Instagram account as well as the Banksy website with news of this new UK Election Souvenir Print - an update of his much loved "Girl With Balloon' work which now features the girl with a Union Jack Flag helium balloon.

How to Claim Your Free Banksy Print

As with all things Banksy, there is a catch and this FREE print will only be available to a select group of people living in a certain part of the UK which has been listed on the artists' website.

According to the Banksy website, the limited edition artwork will be printed on archival quality paper and will only be available to registered voters on 9th June in the Bristol North West, Bristol West, North Somerset, Thornbury, Kingswood, and Filton constituencies.

The street artist is asking those in these areas to simply send in a photo of your ballot paper from the upcoming polling day showing you voted against what the artist refers to as 'the Conservative incumbent'. Once you have done this the complimentary print gift will be mailed to you.

The Banksy website also includes the following legal message "Lawyer's note: this print is a souvenir piece of campaign material, it is in no way meant to influence the choices of the electorate, has no monetary value, is for amusement purposes only, and is strictly not for resale. Terms and conditions to follow, postage not included."

UPDATE 5th June 2017:

According to the BBC website, the Banksy election print-for-vote offer is being investigated by police. It also looks like Banksy as a result has canceled the offer with an update on his website that reads " Product Recall, I have been warned by the Electoral Commission that the free print offer will invalidate the election result. So I regret to announce this ill-conceived and legally dubious promotion has now been canceled."

We wonder what will happen to the Banksy print edition — has it already been printed? Will Banksy release the print online via his website / Pictures on Walls! I guess we will have to wait and see!
