Hitting the streets of Stavanger with artist NDA
Norway — Earlier this year saw us attending the 2016 edition of the NuArt festival in Stavanger (Previously on Hookedblog) covering some of the murals that were painted across the city as part of the festival as well as the Post Street Art Exhibition (Previously on Hookedblog) at the Tou Scene space.
While we were in town we were introduced in person to American street artist NDA who happened to be in Stavanger during the festival. NDA had been working with Norway based artist Niper on an art project and a series of workshops with teenage kids on one of the Norwegian islands and stopped over in Stavanger for a number of days on his way back to the US.
Hookedblog got to hang out with NDA and joined the street artist while he was installing works around Stavanger. We have already featured a series of posters the artist installed across the cities advertising bus shells (Previously on Hookedblog) in which the artist swaped out the commercial advertising posters, replacing them with his hand painted posters created to match in size.
Alongside this series of works the artist also took to Stavanger's street with a collection of hand painted pasteups. We joined the artist to capture him at work installing these works and have featured a selection of the pieces we documented in the photographs below.
