Studio Visit / Preview Mike Mantis - Leviathan
Hookedblog dropped by Mike Mantis' Clapton studio in East London recently to get a preview of his new work, which will be shown at the artist's upcoming solo show 'Leviathan' at the Department of Coffee and Social Affairs.
Following a short break, the show signals the return of artist / designer Mike Mantis to the art world, having previously hosted three successful solo art shows as one half of the infamous street-art duo Goldtooth. The exhibition will see the artist present a series of epic wall paintings, intricate cut-out paper stencils and a number of oil based canvas pieces some of which were at varies stages when we called to the studio to take this collection of images featured below.
The 'Leviathan' show opens later this week, Thursday 16th August with a private view from 7pm. The work will be on display until the 19 October 2012.
