David Bowie Stencil Portrait by street artist C215

On a recent visit to Belgium, we were lucky enough to catch some new street art stencil work by French street artist Christian GuĂ©my better know to most as C215.

The Paris-based street artist was among those invited to take part in the second edition of The Crystal Ship festival in the coastal town of Ostend, Belgium.

Hookedblog was in Ostend back in April, covering the festival and we were fortunate enough to discover a number of the multi-layered stencil works the artist installed around the city on our travels.

We have already shared our photographs of C215's work from Ostend, if you missed the post you can have a look at the work in this post here - "C215 For the Crystal Ship Festival in Ostend, Belgium".

Street Artist C215 in London

Following on from the success of  C215's Back To Black solo exhibition in 2014, we are excited to see the Parisian street artist C215 will return to London for a brand new solo show at Stolen Space Gallery.

Titled 'Spitting Blood' the London exhibition opening Thursday 4th May 2017 will see C215 present a new body of work that focuses on famous musical figures from Amy Winehouse to David Bowie to Tupac Shakur and more. His delicate multi-layered stencil portraits of these influential musicians will be sprayed directly on vinyl records for the new series of works.

And for the Star Wars fans out there, C215 will also be releasing a new hand-finished print edition at the opening featuring everyone's favorite Star Wars droid C-3PO. The C215 C-3PO print is an edition of 50 and will be available directly from Stolen Space Gallery.

Stay tuned for updates and images from the exhibition once we have them and keep your eyes peeled, time allowing C215 may hit the streets of London!
