The Black Rat Print Show
The annual The Black Rat Print show opens this Saturday 21st at 4pm with their widest variety of printing techniques to date on view.
The exhibition has works by artists including Matt Small, D*face, Sweettoof, Brian Adam Douglas, Gaia, Lucas Price, Nick Walker, Blek Le Rat and Slinkachu. Each artist has created something specifically for the show and it is an opportunity to see a wide spectrum of print techniques including etchings, stone lithographs, woodcuts, linocuts and screenprints. As well as a number of new editions being released many of the artists have produced either very small editions of hand coloured prints or unique works.
The show opens from 4pm with live printing demonstrations taking place from 4.30. For anyone interested in printmaking this show provides an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into how Black Rat editions are created.
We are not around for this show today but we expect there will be a lot of interest and we imagine there will be a large que so we would get down there early if you are planning to attend.
