The Signal Gallery in East London.
Robert Sample is a young artist with a huge amount of talent. His work has something of Guy Denning's dark intensity and poise. Like Guy, Robert is influenced by masters of the past (Goya and Velásquez) for example, but his work also has a very contemporary feel. Robert has shown in a number of prestigious group shows in Leonard Street Gallery and in the Black Rat Press Gallery in London, as well as in Barcelona. This will be Robert's first solo show in London.
Private View: 7th January 2010, 6 - 9pm
Open to the public: 8th - 23rd January 2010
