With Spitafields markets recent facelift many of the artists and designers that made Spitafields an essential place to visit for those one of hand made gifts for birthdays and christmas, have been forced out with the re-development of the Market. Many have moved across the street and into The Old Truman Brewery Sunday Upmarket.

The demand for stalls around this time of the year increases so much that the Upmarket have opened a second venue on the other side of Brick Lane, opposite Dray Walk. These two venues with over 140 stalls selling fashion, accessories, crafts, interiors and music, has become one of London's most exciting markets. I went down last Sunday to visit some friends who are running a stall called "Utter Tosh". They are selling these very cute handmade rabbits and sock-monkey plush toys.

I also spotted these wicked hats which were on sale on another stall called One Pink Lady. She also had some wicked, oversized Nike pin badges and Tshirts in some great colours. Get yourselves down to this market if your are still looking for some original Christmas gifts.
