LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN

LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN: NEW YORK'S COUNTER CULTURE

ELMS LESTERS, renowned for it's culturally diverse and landmark exhibitions. will be showcasing new work by five frontline Brooklyn based, contemporary, pop-surrealist and urban artists.; PHIL FROST, MARK DEAN VECA, STASH, WK INTERACT and RON ENGLISH

For the first time in London people will be able to get the buzz that New York is currently experiencing with the explosion of interest in counter-culture contemporary painting. Brooklyn is currently like the Soho of the sixties, with artists working closely together, feeding off each other's creativity, resulting in a whole new genre of art. The five artists we are bringing to London, have been carefully selected as controversial, maverick exponents of this subculture. Not only are they each keenly sought after, internationally, by galleries and collectors, but receive commissions by major organisations like SONY and NIKE etc.

When: 28th October - 19 November 2005
Hours: Monday - Saturday 12.00 - 6.00pm

Location: Elms Lesters Painting Rooms , 1-5 Flitcroft Street, London WC2H 8DH

that publicity blurb is so shit it makes me cry and laugh...new yorks main street art force now are people like darius and downey, swoon and neckface, not buisness men like stash whois just a graphic designer - serious, when was the last time he put up?

gonna be a good show, but that blurb made me wanna firebomb it on principal
