As we have previously mentioned the unusually warm winter weather has seen a whole host of activities from the city's street artists on the streets over what is traditionally a quiet period for London Street Art.

While most of London and probably the UK were nursing a New Years' day hangover, London street artists Dan Kitchener kicked off the new year in fine style with this impressive new mural pictured. Kitchener's colourful new futuristic-looking nighttime cityscape he has titled 'Downtown' was painted by the artist amazingly in just over five hours.

The artist has also created an editioned print of this cityscape also called 'Downtown', we are guessing the mural was based on the image he created for the edition. The print is available now via the artists' online bigcartel shop here.

This new mural from Dan was created with support from Global Street Art as part of their ongoing Walls Project. If you want to visit the location in person the new mural work can be seen on Jerome Street just off Commercial Street in East London.
