Street Artist Anthony Lister redecorates the streets of London

It's great to see Australian street artist Anthony Lister back in London again and hitting the streets. Lister arrived into town earlier in the week and he has already begun setting up for not one, but two UK solo exhibitions both opening next week. The artist is set to take over both of Lazarides The Outsiders galleries simultaneously for his all-new show Unslung Heroes.

Taking a break from the show set-up Lister hit East London yesterday and painted a total of three pieces all featured here, one on Great Eastern Street and the other two in the Old Truman Brewery off Brick Lane.

Unslung Heroes is set to features "Impressionist portraits of after-party revellers, dominated by a red, black and white colour palette. Hedonistic yet elegant, the canvases exemplify Lister’s poetic treatment of highbrow and lowbrow themes, and old masters-meet-street art painting style".

The exhibition will also feature large scale canvases across both gallery spaces as well as sculptural installations made on site. Both shows open on the 16th November 2012 with a Private View Thursday 15th November.
