Tonight sees the opening of a show of paintings by Emilski. London based Emilski produces graphically based art works with inspiration drawn from the city he grew up in. After graduating as a fine art student in Nottingham he returned to London and began focusing on high street typography whilst developing an individual style working with a variety of mediums.

Off setting the imagery used on the incomparable monopoly of fried chicken stores with gang culture Emilski creates a humorous and resonant parody of London’s day to day, grittier edge. Highlighting the competition and rivalry between fast food businesses displays the beating heart of London’s broadways in a fresh and innovative way.

Topsafe London was launched in 2009 as an online gallery that focused on publishing exclusive works by artists with a background in graffiti. The Emilski show is the first of a number of new projects they plan to launch between now and Christmas. The show opens tonight Wednesday 14 July 18:00—22:00
