Opening this Thursday 1 April a new group exhibition entitled "Sleepeezzee" featuring work by nine forward-thinking visual artists exploring the theme of Slumber.

Work will be displayed amongst the Slumbarave installation which will encompass the whole gallery space. The scene is set within an intimate surrounding consisting of giant beds, sumptuous bedspreads and oversized pillows. An array of vintage bedroom furniture, quirky ornaments and collectables are surrounded by bespoke liquid silver velvet drapes. Bed-side and standard lamps add to the cosy ambience, an abundance of wisteria and ivy trails over walls, artwork and furniture alike. Owls and customised teddy bears are perched in every corner evoking a fairytale-like world which starts as soon as you reach the secret wardrobe, enter the Slumbarave, and take those shoes off!

An abundance of smoking jackets, pyjamas and frilly nighties will be available upon arrival, guests will be made to feel relaxed yet visually stimulated by the Slumbarave experience.
Slumbarave has presented unique events in London and within the festival circuit since 2007, and is a regular feature at Shangri-la, Glastonbury. (The only footwear free venue in the festival).

The show will feature works from Alexander6, Anna Sherbany, Charlie McFarley (pictured above right), Cordelia Weston, Julie Jackson, Neil Raitt, Public Spirit (pictured above left) and The Lubix and Cathy Featherstone. This looks like a fun way to kick start the long Easter weekend.
