Looks like D*Face was busy in LA during the week installing what look like skeletonised Oscar sculptures in the run up to the Academy Awards which take place today 7th March.
The pair of 7ft sculptures were installed in two locations in LA, one atop Runyon Canyon and another in the parking lot of Mel’s Drive-In Hollywood, which is close to where the Oscars are to be held. Both sculptures were accompanied by plaques with the following:
“Beauty is one snip away,” read the plaque near the Hollywood sign version.
“Beauty is skin deep,” on the one near Mel’s Drive-In.
NBC Los Angeles has an interview with D*Face about this project and his "Zombie Oscars" as they are now being refferred to . You can read the interview online here as well as seeing more photos.
