HUSH Innocence Show
Hush hits London tonight with all new work for his solo show “Innocence”, at the Urban Angel Art Lounge on Red Church Street.
Using seemingly pure and innocent manga and anime characters, the alluring images of the female form in Hush’s work suggest otherwise. Japanese text on many pieces reveal a far darker undertone to the initially playful representations, which is lost in translation to the majority of us. In addition to demonstrating the use of the female form in contemporary art, these images show us how tagging and graf can place the work in a relevant time, and be a beautiful and accepted art form in different contexts.
Expect 4 Installation pieces, new paintings, works on paper, wood cubes & some limited edition prints. There is a buyers preview this evening but it's Strictly guest list only!
Gallery Opening Hours - Thursday – Saturday 11am to 4.30pm
The show runs until Saturday 28th November.
