Last summer Hookedblog spent some time exploring the French capital, from coffee spots, galleries, local hangouts and of course some of the street art and murals across the city. We always enjoy returning to Paris, especially over the summer months trying to avoid using the subway where possible, preferring to walk or using one of the many rental bikes while out street art hunting!
We were first introduced to the work of American Street artist Eddie Colla earlier this year while we were on a trip to Paris over the summer.
London based artist and illustrator Ben Rider better known to some by his street name Zombiesqueegee has been recently hitting the streets of East London with a vibrant series of layered hand screen printed posters.

Last month saw us here at Hookedblog visit the Belgian coastal town of Oostende for the first edition of The Crystal Ship festival (Previously on Hookedblog). Alongside the invited international artists who created murals across the city the festival included a number of local Belgian artists in the program. It's always great to travel to new places and discover the works of artists we were not previously aware of. Two new discoveries while in Oostende was the work of stencil artist Jaune (Previously on Hookedblog) and PolCosmo.
We have already featured stencil artist Jaune whose elaborate multi layer stencil work for the festival was a highlight for us. The other Belgian artist installing work at street level was PolCosmo who installed a large number of issue ups across the city. The Gent based street artists hand painted creepy crawly creatures and insects descended upon the city taking us residence and multiplying across the cities walls. We briefly caught up with PolCosmo on our travels around Oostende while he was busy with brush and paste installing some new bugs. Have a look at some of these colourful creatures we discovered below.
