beautiful street pieces since he relocated to the city.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe artist was one of 11 artist recently invited to Marrakech, Morocco to take part in \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.hookedblog.co.uk\/2016\/04\/marrakech-and-mb6-street-art-project.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EMB6 Street Art (Previously on Hookedblog),\u003C\/a\u003E a parallel project at this years 6th Marrakesh Bienalle. Author and designer Tristan Manco has written the introduction to Bufarini's book, a small extract of which is below: \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ci\u003E\"Part travelling diary, part monograph, Time Traveller Artist Man charts the triumphs and tribulations of an imaginative soul with a passion for travel, whose worldwide voyages have become a catalyst to create art that is elemental and playful, with the ultimate goal of engaging with people from all walks of life.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ci\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Ci\u003EThe reference to time travel in the book’s title is a quirky but insightful notion which reflects the artist’s particular world vision. Through his journeys to countries such as China, Senegal, Italy, Morocco and Gambia, where in many areas they still do things in time-honoured ways, by hand or with basic tools and methods, the artist was struck by the sense of going back in time. Earlier in the week we stopped by the \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.hookedblog.co.uk\/2016\/06\/coney-art-walls-outdoor-museum-of.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EConey Art Walls Project (Previously on Hookedblog)\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;in Coney Island to see some of the 2016 additions to this outdoor mural project. We also headed over to Bushwick in Brooklyn to visit the neighbourhood and see some of the new works that were painted over the weekend. Our timing kinda sucked as we missed The Bushwick Collectives block party by a few hours arriving into town as the party was winding down. \u0026nbsp;But on the plus side it means there are some super fresh new murals for us to check out and share with you.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWe briefly stopped by this part of town last year and almost missed our flight as we got carried away shooting some of the larger scale works alongside the stencils and pasteups by New York artists AIKO, Faile, Bast and Swoon. We had to cut our visit short at the risk of missing our flight so today we make sure to visit Bushwick first and give us time to discover  some of the gems in the neighbourhood.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EHaving promised to show us around last year if we were ever in town, we hit up Bushwick resident and fellow street art photographer Daniel\u0026nbsp;Weintraub or Halopigg as he is better know on Instagram. As a local he knows the ins and outs of the neighbourhood and who better to show us around us the hood! We hit the streets checking out some of the new works as well as some of those that went up over the last year. We spent a few hours strolling around the surround blocks checking out the work before breaking in the afternoon for some New York pizza and beers at\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca It is the largest non-chain photo and video equipment store in the US and which makes it very difficult not to spend money in the place. The work by the French street artist was one of 12 new works he installed in London last month as part of his 18th invasion of this city (\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.hookedblog.co.uk\/2016\/03\/french-street-artist-invader-installs.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EPreviously on Hookedblog\u003C\/a\u003E). The mosaic work pictured above titled LND_147 or 'The Tea Drinker' as nicknamed by fans was a much loved piece despite it's short life span.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EAs we got closer to the workmen it was evident that they were removing the Invader work from the wall. It is not often that we witness let alone photograph the removal of a street piece. By its nature most street art is ephemeral and the ever changing nature of street level work is something that we have become accustomed to but Invader's carefully selected locations high above the streets have traditionally ensured that his works have had a much longer life span than other street works.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EUnfortunalty there was no going back as at this point they had chiselled away over half the work and it was beyond rescue. We spoke to the two workmen and asked why, to which they responded that they were employed by the building owner who had instructed them to remove the blue\/white\/red mosaic affixed to building. They asked why so many people were stopping to take photographs and I explained to them it was the work of a well know street artist. Had they known they said they would have attempted to get the owner to keep the work but with the mosaic smashed in pieces on the ground it was too late.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0026nbsp; Chingford into colourful works of art.
