Last Monday saw us here at Hookedblog attend the Art Stars charity auction in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust at Phillips de Pury. Close to 50 art stars were on display, with 10 auctioned live on the night and the remaining stars saw people place silent bids on the pieces throughout the evening.

Some fantastic work on display and a lively bidding battle over some of the stars ensured a significant amount was raised for the charity. If you missed our photos which we posted earlier in the week on our Hookedblog Facebook page you can view them in the slideshow below.

With bidding having now finished on the current Art Stars, Ralph Lauren is looking for the next generation of Art Stars. They are running an open call competition to budding artists and designers from Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the UK to submit their own Art Star designs. 16 winners will be selected on the closing date with cash prizes and a week-long in-studio session with an Art Stars mentor to be won.

The competition is now open and will run until 4 February 2011. All the details and Art Stars kit can be found on the website here.
